Delete your ClipToVocab account

This page is for the ClipToVocab app on Google Play (by ClipToVocab). There are three ways to delete your account. Each one deletes it completely and cannot be undone.

In the app

1. Open ClipToVocab and go to your Profile (the last tab).
2. Tap Settings (the gear at the top).
3. Tap Account, then Delete account at the bottom.
4. Read what goes and what stays, choose a reason, and type your username to confirm.
5. Tap Delete my account.

On this page

Sign in with the same Google account below, type your username, and delete it here. No app needed.

By email

If you cannot sign in, email support@cliptovocab.com from the email address of your ClipToVocab account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We may reply to confirm it is you. We delete the account within 7 days and write back when it is done.

What is deleted

• At once: your name, email address, username, bio, interests and profile picture. Your saved words, library, streak, XP, level and badges can no longer be seen by anyone, including you.
• You are signed out on every device, and notifications to your phones stop.
• Any VIP renewal is stopped. Cancel in Google Play as well if you want to be sure no reminder emails come (see refunds and cancellations).
• Your questions to support are deleted.
• You can never sign in to that account again. Signing in later with the same Google account starts a new, empty account.

What is kept, and for how long

• Things you posted publicly (comments, sentences in Moments, stories) stay where they are, shown as from “Deleted user”, so other people’s replies still make sense. If you want them gone, delete them in the app before you delete your account.
• Learning records (what was watched and practised) stay without your name, email or any way to sign in to them, so leaderboards and totals stay correct for others.
• Purchase records of VIP are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires (up to 8 years).
• Why you left, if you told us, without your name.
